YERBA Mate, commonly referred to as chimarro or cimarrón, is a traditional  South American ( Argentina & Brazil)-infused beverage with a strong caffeine content. It is prepared by soaking dried yerba mate leaves in hot water, and it is served with a metal straw in a calabash gourd, however, in some regions, a cattle horn is also used as the container.

YERBA Mate, commonly referred to as chimarro or cimarrón, is a traditional  South American ( Argentina & Brazil ) infused beverage with a strong caffeine content. It is prepared by soaking dried yerba mate leaves in hot water, and it is served with a metal straw in a calabash gourd, however, in some regions, a cattle horn is also used as the container.  To prepare a herbal tea, the yerba mate plant’s leaves and twigs are steeped in hot water after being dried, usually over a fire. You can either serve yerba mate hot or chilled. Yerba mate can be consumed hot or cold. It is frequently described as a beverage having the energizing effects of coffee, the mellow flavor of conventional tea, the healing value of herbal tea, and the relaxing qualities of chocolate.  Yerba  is the favorite tea the world celebrates, including the world favorite football players like Messi  and Ronaldo.

How to Prepare:

Add 1-2 spoons of yerba mate tea to a mug. Moisten the tea bags with cool water. Fill the mug with 75°C water. Steep for 5 minutes, strain the tea from the mug, and enjoy.
